This unmitigated fool of a 'so-called' President of the United States of America, is on the verge of isolating the United States of America from the whole of Europe, and the world at large, with his childish antics of, 'it's my ball, and you'll play by my rules or I won't play ball at all', which only a four year old could surpass in idiocy. His "America first" theory of governing has not, is not, and will not benefit America in any substantial form, short term or long term now or ever. This schoolyard bully still erroneously believes that he can rule the world by his bullyistic threats at all costs, and if he continues with this train of thought and actions, will be the ruin of America's world standing as the leading democratic leader, destroying our credibility and trust with our allies, who even as we speak are planning ways to distance themselves from America and forming their own safety net, and isolating America in a world where once were the greatest democratic force against rogue nations that still have their eye on the European 'prize' that they lost during past World wars.
Isolationism has never worked for any nation in the past, and will not work now, even as much as Trump, 'The Incompetent', in his 'man-child' dreams would wish. America absolutely needs our European partners, and NATO, without which we will be left alone in world full of conflicts and real threats to democracy around the world. He is simply playing into the hands of the worlds dictators, and despots waiting on the sidelines, ready to fill the void left by America's retreat from world affairs. Once given up, not likely ever regained.
America must remain the democratic leader of the free world, we must respect and protect our allies when they lack the strength to defend themselves, we must set the example of good leadership, and in return we will garner the same in return. Trump obviously has no clue as to how that works, and is not likely ever to realize such. He still believes that the best way to win 'friends' is to first treat them like so much barnyard crap, then later convince them just how wrong they were in the first place, say a few fake nice words, and expect them to now 'take a knee' at his golden throne as a good serf should. Then he calls them his "good friends". This is exactly how the 'Stockholm Syndrome' works. Just hold'em 'hostage' until they profess their 'love' for you.
Trump is what happens when a 'snake oil' salesman be-dazzles his audience to the point of sheer stupidity and they will then 'buy' anything he 'sells'. He 'bought' their votes with promises, but delivered lie, after lie, after lie, and now to the point where they will only believe lies, and won't believe the truth even when the proof is before their very eyes. A sad commentary on 'Presidential leadership'.
