To say that this un-American, yet typical governmental action against the land of the Mashpee Wampanoag, is absurd, and illegal is a gross understatement. The incompetent trump administration will stop at nothing in order to deconstruct any part of our nation that they can lay a soiled finger on.
Now, I realize that had our very white forefathers not came over to the North American continent, specifically what is now The United States, which was then populated and owned by the indigenous people, that I, myself, would not be sitting here right now. My ancestors arrived in about 1640, so they and those soon after were no doubt part of the problem. But unfortunately, we cannot chose our ancestors, nor can we, ourselves, be guilty of their indiscretions, crimes against humanity, and theft of a 'foreign' land, but here in the year 2020 we should be better than that. 'History' is what it is, but it should not still be happening, and not repeating itself on any scale, to anyone, especially America's Indigenous peoples. Just another shameful 'land theft'!
