'Church, and State'

So, what's next? Private 'militias'? Private 'Armies'? Who do they answer to? Who do they really 'serve'. Who are they 'really' policing? How can they wear two 'hats' while 'owned' by the church when they are placed in a position of 'investigating' a church member for a crime? Will 'look the other way', be their montra? Why do they not simply opt for armed security guards? There is too much room here for abuse of 'power', from one extreme to the other. If a 'church' is allowed to have it's own 'police force' then what's to stop any Other organization from doing the very same thing. It appears that this church has a powerful controlling interest in Alabama's Government, and this influence borders on violation of 'Seperation of State and Church'. :/
