They Speak From Both Sides Of Their Mouths

This "N.R.A. Supports New Rules on "Bump Stock' Devices" is simply the NRA trying to dull the sharp 'edge' of this device that converts a semi automatic killing machine into an AUTOMATIC Killing machine, AKA 'Machine Gun'. And yes, a firearm that continues to fire with one pull of the trigger 'Bumped' or not, is a 'MACHINE GUN'!
“The N.R.A. believes that these devices, designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles, should be subject to additional regulations.”
Pay attention to the "subject to additional regulations" part of their subtle spiel. "Additional regulations"? "Additional"!??? How can that be!? There are NO "regulations" that 'regulate' these things in the first place! How can there be "Additional"!!?? BS!! The NRA is simply now 'playing' the 'good guy' with a gun advocate here. They do not propose a total BAN of these absolutly un-needed devices, they propose "Additional regulations". 'Regulate' is a far cry from a 'BAN'. 'Regulate' would mean that perhaps under certain conditions, certain circustances, certain times or places, a person would still be allowed to sell or purchase, and use this device. A 'BAN' would mean that NO one, under ANY circumstance or conditions, would be able to manufacture, buy, sell, possess, or use one of these devices. Period!
The NRA should NOT be allowed to recommend, suggest, or have ANY input into the BANNING of these dangerous devices. To allow them to propose any kind of "Regulations" will simply play right into their blood stained hands. They will propose "Regulations" on 'This' device, but will still advocate and lobby for the passage of the 'Share Act' which would deregulate the Silencer Act and make armor peircing ammo legal. The NRA is throwing millions of $$$ into making sure that the manufacture, sale, purchase, and use of silencers, AKA suppressors, becomes as easy, and normal to purchase as a candy bar is now. The NRA is in the pocket of Gun Manufatures, the very ones who have a vested stake in the passage of the Share Act. The only reason they are 'willing' to take a hit on these 'Bump Stocks' is because they are not making millions off the sale of these devices. They have never railed against them in the first place, but they lose nothing by 'proposing' "Additional Regulations" of them. But they do stand to lose millions if Silencers are banned, as they should be. The speak from both sides of their mouths.
It's time for our politicians to crawl out from under the NRA sheets, and stop prostituting themselves for a butt full of NRA dollars!
