One lane highways can be a great thing if you are trying to pass some slow moving vehicle on a lonely night. They can also be a huge safety hazard if people aren’t incredibly careful about when they decide to pass.
Samsung is now pushing a technology that will make those worries a thing of the past – by putting massive video walls on the backs of their shipping trucks. But unfortunately for the Korean corporate giant, this may raise even more questions that it answers.

The company was apparently inspired by Argentina, where apparently tons of accidents happen on one-lane highways. These new trucks will combine a front-facing camera with multiple screens on the back, forming a video wall that will show the drivers behind what to expect.

It is certainly impressive technology, and the company claims the cameras will even work at night. The only problem is that they haven’t really tested the technology much, except for one trial that ended with the test model no longer in operation.
So props to Samsung for developing a very interesting technology that could very well save many lives in the long run, they need to do a little work testing and making sure this technology is fully functional before putting it on the roads.
