Let's stand together for the Second Amendment
It's key for our self-defense, protection from tyranny
As we grieve and pray in the wake of the shootings at at Umpqua Community College, Northern Arizona University and Texas Southern University, we must not politicize the issue and trample on the Second Amendment.
Gun control advocates have called for regulating gun ownership more strictly. Unfortunately, the laws they support would end up stopping law-abiding citizens from defending themselves while doing nothing to curb potential violence.
Furthermore, our right to keep and bear arms is about far more than self-defense; it is also a defense against tyranny. The Second Amendment helps make it possible for us to guard our freedoms. Any attempt to curb the right of the people to keep and bear arms can only lead to future attempts to curb every other right reserved to us by the Constitution.
Bennie, do not include Me in your "..We..", I have no fears or paronia about our 2nd Admendment being "..trample..". And Who is "..them.." exactly? You should not use broad terms when speaking of a 'specific' entity. And what "..issue.." do you allude to here? Spell it Out please,don't leave us dangling here. And what "..tyranny.." has you hiding under your Moma's bed? You cleverly, just like a real politician, speak words that the paronoid and superstitious segment of America want to hear. They prostitute themselves to you as prepayment for all the wonderful things you have promised them, and you in turn will say in your Mr.Rogers soft and quiet voice..'It doesn't take a Brain Surgeon to be President', and they then in return will willy-nilly cast their Vote your way....Orrrr....not.
