A man reportedly died after taping a bull run with his cell phone, one Spanish mayor reported.
Jesis Hijosa, mayor of Villaseca de la Sagra, reported on Monday that David Mellado Lopez had been filming the run during the town festival around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. However, Lopez apparently hadn’t noticed that one of the bulls was heading for him.
"The young man was on the path of a bull run which he was filming with his mobile phone," Hijosa said. "A bull surprised him from behind and gored him in the neck."
Unfortunately, Lopez was punctured in the neck and thigh by the bull. As a result of his injuries, Lopez died in a hospital in the city of Toledo on Sunday.
Lopez, a 32-year-old from a neighboring town, was the fourth to be killed by a bull during town festivals this year in Spain.
Bull runs are a tradition in many parts of Spain during summer festivals. The most famous is the San Fermin run in Pamplona, Spain.
