By All Means, "End The War"

Buddy Black While the sentiment "..end war", is heart felt, in reality in order to "end war", one would have to 'end mankind'. No humans, no "war". Humans have always waged "war" of one kind or another against other humans. Of course, just because it has always been so does not make it a valid thing to do. But it is what it is. "War" is a human condition. We are greedy, and selfish. We want what the other guy has. He wants ours. We are superstitious to a fault. We are innately prejudiced. If the other guy isn't just like us, then we fear him, and fear breeds distrust, distrust breeds hate, and hate breeds "war". We don't bother to understand the other guy. We hate the color of the other guys skin. We hate his religion because our God is the correct one, and his is not. His clothes are different, so we don't like that, it makes us uncomfortable, his diet is not like ours, more discomfort, we don't understand his language, must be a terrorist, and so now we hate him. Time for some sort of "war" whether it's warranted or not. So when you say; "Support the troops by demanding an end to war", you are intimating that otherwise we should 'not' support our troops. It is Not our "troops" that cause a "war". Our troops simply fight the 'wars' that somehow we wind up fighting in, whatever the cause or justification for that "war" in the first place. For sure there is only one absolute thing that we can actually accomplish, and that's "Support the troops", while still "demanding an end to war". Without a doubt there will be wars to fight, and without our troops, and our support of them, America could wind up on the short end of the stick. We either 'lead' and make the dust, or we 'follow', and eat the dust. So far, we have been 'leaders'. When we turn tail and become afraid or unwilling to fight a "war", and fail to support our troops, is when we become the victims of the guy that hates us more. Peace
