The 'Art' Of Martial 'Arts'
'What!!? Whaaaaat?? What was that? Has my Hearing gone Bad from all the 'artsy' Fists that have pounded my Ears into collectors 'art' Scar tissue?? Does my 'art' loving, concussed Brain still decieve me? Has the 'art' world gone completly stark raving mad!? Who Is this woman that dares defile the very 'image' of the MMA by suggesting that a Cage, with-in which two very well versed 'artisans' attempt to muddle one anothers brains with Fists, Elbows, Knees and Feet with sub...tle 'artistic' touches, is Anything Less than an 'Art'! What Nerve! What audacity! How "stupid" and "uneducated" of this, who Ever she Is woman! It's quite obvious even to My scrambled senses that She knows Nothing of our 'art'. I would love to get her ignorant self in the 'cage' and introduce her to our highly skilled, and fluid 'art form', or 'dance of the cranes' as I like to call it. Oh how quickly she would change her tune, and 'Tap Out' like the whiner she surely is. Our 'art' form of cage dueling is to 'art' as...ah...hmmm...ahhh...oh yeah, as a car wreck is to..ahhh..ahhhh...oh, where was I? But you 'get' my point here fans. We're just a bunch of 'art' loving guys who have studied Martail 'Arts' since way back when. You 'know,' back when it was used mostly for Self Defense. But Then we saw that hey, lets ramp this 'art' thing up just a 'little' bit so's we can make a small fortune, at Least for Me, out of it. People love to see Wrecks, you know the blood and guts stuff, so why not show them some 'artsy' Human 'wrecks' right along with the gratiuitus blood, and if we could do the 'guts' part we'd do That too. So what we've done here is totally destroy the Traditional form of the Martial 'Arts', and subvert it into our Own bloody, head pounding, 'Art' form. So it's plain that this busy body, crybaby, little known 'actress', knows Nothing about our beloved 'art', and yet can so stupidly badmouth us right there on national TV, ruining my whole evening of watching the Awards show! Grrrrr! I'm just about ready to challenge that "uppity 80 Year-old' wanna-be actress, to a Three Rounder, I'll show her what 'art' really is!! Grrrrr!'
Dana White Responds to Meryl Streep's 2017 Golden Globes Speech

Following actress Meryl Streep's impassioned speech at the
Golden Globes on Sunday night, which included a dig at mixed martial arts, UFC
President Dana White
responded.

Sports, White wasn't pleased with Streep's comments:
White took a different approach than Bellator MMA President Scott Coker, who instead invited the actress to Bellator 170:

The UFC president is also a noted supporter of Trump, as he spoke on behalf of the soon-to-be president of the United States at the Republican National Convention.
Although MMA isn't Streep's cup of tea, White is in the midst of a hugely successful run, as UFC 207 recently pulled in 1.1 million pay-per-view buys.
